The Northminster Presbyterian Church offers Sunday School classes for all ages. Classes are held at 10:30AM. The individual classes range from 4 yrs old – 2nd grade; 3rd-5th grade; junior/senior high, and adults. There is a nursery provided for newborn – 3 yrs with the toddlers receiving a short Bible story lesson with a simple craft project to tie in with the lesson.
The curriculum for the elementary students is We Believe, with Bible-based lessons on the stories and people of the Bible complete with life applications of those lessons. Crafts and games enhance the lessons for the children. With the Bible Readings/ Stories the youth learn how to act as Christians in today’s postmodern world, with enriching and engaging Bible-based life application lessons and discussions on topics such as faith, their relationship with Jesus Christ, and obedience. Also for the children there is a Children’s Church held during both services prior to the actual Sunday School at 1030AM.
During the Second Service Pastor Wayne Kirk holds a child’s sermon at the Chancel for a few minutes based on that Sunday’s Sermon Title to which all children are invited up front to sit with him on the steps.
The adult Sunday School is an indepth Bible Study lead by the Elders of the Church.
