Pantry Facelift

Northminster Presbyterian Church, remodeling, painting, kitchen pantryWell folks, the NPC Fellowship Hall has a newly remodeled kitchen pantry and it is almost finished. Just a few more touches of trim for the Communion cabinet and sliding utensil drawers, and it will be finished. Thanks to some of our hard working, dedicated members, we emptied out the pantry and painted the walls, in preparation for new shelving, which was also supplied by one of our long-time members. This was quite a job, but we were able to complete it in record time.

There was sorting, tossing, cleaning, painting and installing shelves taking place in the kitchen for several days. Oh, and don’t forget the fun and laughter too!  When the time came to start putting things back in place, it started all over again, sorting, tossing, cleaning and rearranging. You know how things accumulate over the years? Well, the church kitchen is no different than our homes. It is so much easier to get to the needed utensils now, and with everybody’s help, we’ll keep it that way.

All this was going on while preparation for the annual BBQ was starting to take place. Needless to say, this has been a very busy time for many of our members. So, for those who are not aware, and have not seen our remodeled kitchen pantry,  please stop by when you are at the church, and see the changes. I’m sure you will be pleased.

If you have any talents or have some time you would like to donate to your church, just let Pastor Kirk know. We have a lot of fun and a lot of laughs, and that’s what makes the work seem easier. Come join us, it’s a great way to get to know people and build new friendships.
